Westwood & Wilshire Assists Antidote Health to Hire Head of Strategic Partnerships
August 8, 2022, Silicon Valley, Calif. — Westwood & Wilshire, a retained executive search firm, today announced that its Technology Practice has placed Maurice King as the Head of Strategic Partnerships for Antidote Health, a telemedicine startup. King is a strategic health plan executive with 15 years experience leading sales and operational teams targeting not only growth, but sustainability of the Medicare line of business.
Antidote Health offers an AI-based health platform that helps people receive proper medical treatment. Antidote Health's technology streamlines patient screening and augments the doctor's decision-making process, removing the burden of administrative tasks from the doctor and improving the quality of the doctor-patient experience. The company raised $22 million of Series A venture funding in a deal led by Flint Capital, iAngels, and Group 11 on March 22, 2022.
In this new role, King will drive the vision of Antidote Health to democratize healthcare and develop relationships with healthcare insurance carriers and employers. Reporting to the Chief of Financial Products, King will work cross-functionally with other executives to build the strategic partnerships for the company.
King has experience building and executing effective sales and marketing strategies that exceed goals and stimulate markets for insurance conglomerates as well as small organizations. Most recently, King spent over four years as regional sales director at Clear Spring Health. Before that, he was with UnitedHealthcare as director of sales. King’s extensive sales background aligns with Antidote Health’s goal of making affordable healthcare available for everyone.
