Westwood & Wilshire Partners with Movano Health to Place VP of Engineering

Silicon Valley, California, November 14, 2022 – Movano Health - a purpose-driven healthcare company developing personal health solutions at the intersection of wellness and medical technology - has brought on Ed Landau as Vice President of Engineering.

Ed brings over 25 years of engineering, product development, and team leadership experience. In his 14-year tenure with Microsoft (WebTV and XBOX) he grew from Engineering Manager to Principal Program Manager and gained invaluable experience in design control and concept-to-release for consumer electronics. Leaving MS for a more entrepreneurial path, he co-founded and led a medical SaaS startup (EMR/EHR) where he built the team and reached HIPAA compliant services within a year. Applying his engineering, product development and product launch experience from Microsoft and insights into the healthcare landscape, Ed has subsequently worked with health-tech startups such as Livongo Health (now Teladoc), iSono Health, and most recently Pulse Biosciences to lead and align teams for successful product development and release overseeing both hardware and software.

As Movano’s VP of Engineering, Ed will direct and coordinate the engineering team and lead all aspects of taking new products from prototype to production.  

Since 2018, Movano Health has been developing health technology to bring medical-grade, high-quality data to the forefront of consumer health devices. since 2018 been developing technology that brings together the usability of wearable health trackers with the accuracy of a medical device. After unveiling its first product, a smart ring that addresses women’s health needs the Movano Ring, at CES 2022 and being named Best of CES 2022 by WSJ and Wired, the team is currently preparing for its commercial launch in the ( first half of 2023). Additionally, the Movano Health team has built and patented a unique Radio Frequency- powered sensor that will allow monitoring of glucose and blood pressure without a needle or cuff and will be used in future devices once testing is complete and conditional upon FDA approval.
