ABBVIE PARTNERS WITH WESTWOOD & WILSHIRE TO FILL EXECUTIVE MEDICAL DIRECTOR, ONCOLOGY

AbbVie has hired Dr. Amal Melhem-Bertrandt as the new Executive Medical Director of Oncology. Dr. Melhem has joined from Astellas Pharma where she served in a similar capacity as the Senior Medical Director. Dr. Melhem-Bertrandt has obtained her MD from the American University of Beiruit in 2000 prior to completing her fellowship in oncology at the University of Chicago. Dr. Melhem-Bertrandt has also served as the Assistant Professor for the Department of Breast Medical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
