ANTERIS BIO PARTNERS WITH WESTWOOD & WILSHIRE TO FILL CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER ROLE
Oakland, California March, 25— Anteris Bio, a portfolio company focused on developing HPP971 as a new therapy for the treatment of renal disease, has hired Dr. Catherine Kelleher as Chief Medical Officer. Founded in December, 2020, Anteris is the third company formed by Aditum Bio, the biotech investment firm co-founded in 2019 by former Novartis CEO Joe Jimenez and Mark Fishman, M.D., former president of the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research.
Dr. Kelleher joins Anteris from ChemoCentryx, where she served as the Senior Vice President of Clinical Development. Prior to Chemocentryx, she has held Clinical leadership positions with Viking Therapeutics, Coherus Biosciences, Proteus Digital Health, and Amgen. Dr. Kelleher also held several academic positions, including Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She completed clinical fellowships in nephrology and geriatrics at Beth Israel Hospital and Harvard Medical School respectively, a research fellowship in the Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School and an internship/residency in Internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Kelleher received her M.D. from the University of Washington, School of Medicine; and received a B.S. from The Johns Hopkins University School of Health Services.
