Earli and Westwood & Wilshire Team Up to Hire Vice President of Biology

San Francisco, CA, September 29, 2021— Earli, the company pioneering a new approach to cancer  diagnostics by forcing cancer cells to produce synthetic biomarkers, announced today that Maggie Louie accepted the roll of Vice President of Biology. In January of 2021, Earli announced it raised $40 million in its series A.

Dr. Louie brings extensive cross-disciplinary oncology leadership experience to Earli. Prior to joining Earli as Vice President of Biology, she spent two years at Freenome as the Director of Translational Science. She previously held another industry role at Natera, leading cancer biology and emerging technologies, and before that spent well over a decade in academia, as a tenured professor and principal investigator. Her work has always focused on oncology and in particular early detection. She received her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Davis and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the UC Davis Cancer Center.
