GENEDIT TEAMS WITH WESTWOOD & WILSHIRE TO BRING IN FIRST VICE PRESIDENT OF CHEMISTRY

South San Francisco, CA, May 24—GenEdit, a Series A gene editing biotech, has hired Yvonne Angell as the new Vice President of Chemistry. The discovery stage company is exploring multiple therapeutic indications for its technologies in non-viral delivery of CRISPR/ Cas-9 gene editing.

Dr. Angell joins GenEdit from ChemPartner, where she has been the Head of Peptide Chemistry and Peptide Operations since 2015. In her role there, as well as at previous roles at Ipsen, Affymax, and Weyth, Dr. Angell worked across modalities and indication to lead chemistry teams in discovering solutions. She received her PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin. She is the inventor of five patents, has over fifteen publications, and is a distinguished speaker.
